• Choose your companions and set your own pace
• We tailor the holiday to suit you…
• With the added value of selected accommodation,
transportation, and local knowledge

Book an exclusive holiday perfectly tailored to your pace and preferences, such as: challenging mountain treks; less walking, and more swimming from fabulous beaches; or a special focus on wildflowers, or Byzantine art and architecture!

We can accommodate mixed ability groups and non-walking partners - all of our walking holidays can be adapted to be just right for you! We can also offer you memorable picnics & exclusive taverna meals. Please phone or email us to discuss dates, special arrangements and prices.

Guided group holidays are available for a minimum booking of 4 people, and can be run on any of the islands where we operate (Paros, Naxos, Amorgos, Tinos). Our one-week island combos (Paros & Minor Cyclades or Naxos & Donousa) are available too - see  MINOR CYCLADES.

For a longer break, combine two island destinations, or book into the Walking Plus affiliated country houses on Paros (see LINKS).

DATES – You choose when to go

•  Whether you are opting for a one-week or fortnight holiday, you can start your private, guided group walking holiday on Paros, Naxos, Amorgos or Tinos on any day you like from mid April to end June, and 1st September to mid October.
•  Your program on Amorgos is subject to arrival port (Katapola or Aegiali), as boats sail from Athens to respective port roughly every other day.
•  For our Paros & Minor Cyclades one-week holiday, you should arrive in Paros on a Friday (dep. Saturday), whereas for our Naxos & Donousa one-week program, arrival on Naxos should be scheduled on a Thursday (dep. Friday).

NB We do not usually offer our walking holidays during July and August because the weather can be too hot for walking, the wildlife is in aestivation, the islands are crowded, and accommodation prices are high. The Walking Plus affiliated country houses by the beach on Paros are available in July & August though.

• You may also like to have a two-night stopover in Athens at the beginning or end of your island holiday (See ATHENS).

We pride ourselves as knowing the islands "like the back of our hands". Being local, well-connected and having walked the islands for decades, we'll take you places and guide you into the island life & nature like no one else. Our accomodation choices are also 'hand-picked': quaint, comfortable village rooms we have stayed in and personally know the proprietors.

Our picnics are 'something to write home about': we try to buy gourmet, fresh products from local sources and prepare everything on the spot. A true feast, with local wine or refreshments, most welcome after a good hike!

Our tours are personal and flexible: groups are always small (4-9 persons) and your guides are the same persons who design the routes (and run the business too, we're a cooperative).

Finally, we pay particular attention to detail and put safety first, but we'll go the extra mile to cater to your individual walking desires & needs!
"Walking Plus enshrines the concept of quality tourism with walking tours that take in Greece's unique combination of sea, landscape, culture, history and traditional agriculture.
It shows what enthusiasm, hard work and organization can do with a great concept in a virtually virgin market."

• Fixed departure dates (minimum 4 participants)
• Unique, one-week itineraries (8 days, 7 nights)
• Small & friendly groups that can accomodate your pace
• With the added value of selected accommodation,
 transportation, and local knowledge

Book a walking holiday with us to experience the Cycladic islands like never before. Our itineraries comprise more than good hikes in remarkable landscapes; they offer participants a 'feel of the place'.

All our guides are fluent English speakers and will give you 'íinsider' information on the flora & fauna, geography, culture and local traditions, that will 'make the place come alive' as you walk. We know the Cyclades so well because we are truly local;  we belong here.
Fun & 'soft adventure' parts are also included in the design of our routes: swimming in fabulous beaches, special cave explorations with torches to marvel at the wonders of nature or seek the traces of ancient civilization, or scrambling on hillsides to discover ancient or medieval settlements.

Our picnics are also unique - we prepare small feasts en route every day. We will also stop or finish at traditional village cafes, and have suppers at traditional, well-chosen tavernas with Greek specialties and the best local wine!

Since our groups are small and we know the routes 'by heart', we can accommodate mixed-ability groups in a resourceful manner, to also satisfy the more fit or adventurous group members.

Our set-date walking holidays are subject to a minimum booking of 4 people. Once we receive your reservation deposit for a particular tour (refundable in the event of non-execution) you will become part of a Google group and follow developments via email and WhatsApp. You will receive final notification three weeks from departure date.

If you like the sound of a WP guided walking holiday, check out the links to our destinations below and phone or email to let us know of your interest!

You can also extend your holiday with a discounted Walking Plus Self-Guided programme on Paros, Naxos, Tinos, or Amorgos.

NB Our guided group holidays comprise accomodation booking, transportation from/to port and hike start/end points, wine picnic lunches and taverna dinners (depending on destination). They do not include air or ferry tickets to arrive to/return from holiday destination.

You may like to have a two-night stopover in Athens at the beginning or end of your island holiday. (see ATHENS)
